Drum Labels

The drum label material utilizes reinforced PET, PE, or synthetic paper, characterized by strong adhesion, excellent solvent resistance, and long-lasting print durability. The adhesive must effectively bond to HDPE plastic, steel, and coated drum surfaces, even under temperature fluctuations, humidity, and outdoor exposure. Drum labels are frequently exposed to oil contamination, UV radiation, and mechanical abrasion, making clarity and adhesion retention crucial for product safety and regulatory compliance.

Drum adhesive labels are also referred to as chemical drum labels, industrial barrel labels, hazardous material container labels, oil drum labels, and chemical storage tank labels. They are extensively used in industries such as chemical manufacturing, petroleum refining, logistics, agriculture, and industrial production.

The primary materials for drum labels consist of durable PET film, synthetic paper, and high-strength PE, combined with solvent-based or acrylic adhesives capable of withstanding chemical corrosion, water immersion, and extreme temperatures. The surface layer supports thermal transfer, laser, or UV printing, ensuring barcode accuracy, batch traceability, and adherence to global labeling standards like GHS, BS5609, and IMDG.

The synthetic paper used in drum labels is primarily composed of polyolefin resins and inorganic fillers, manufactured through extrusion and stretching technology. This material combines the durability of plastic with the print quality of coated paper, offering tear resistance, waterproofing, and chemical inertness.
